What a cute story about Halloween and how it is celebrated in the human, Other Side and Elf worlds.Maggie (A Magical Tracker) and Killian (her elf partner) were invited to Maggie's Mom and Dad's place, to celebrate when the ghosts moved on at midnight, for those who live on the Other Side. Maggie's Mom is a psychic and sees and hears ghost.
All sorts of mayhem started the minute they drove over from Earth to her parents home. A very upset sailor ghost was causing all kinds of terror. It was up to Maggie, who by the way hates ghosts, to rein the wayward ghost in.
A wonderful story comes about making this a great addition to the Maggie MacKay's series!
Umm Maggi's sister may not talk to her for quite a while though! 😀

Always great Maggie MacKay
Lots of excitement as with all of Maggie's stories. But Maggie saves the day as always. There is always some adventure to go with the fun.
I've been reading this series from the first book and have loved each and every one. Can't wait to see what's next.
Who doesn't love Maggie? This girl just invites trouble and I like her all the more for it. I appreciate strong but imperfect heroes and Maggie is right there with the best of them. But who doesn't love her Elf BFF flirting, teasing and fighting with her all the way. If you haven't read the first few, please tackle those and then come back to this gem.
Maggie and Killian are off on a quick and appropriately Halloween adventure, although they regularly deal with other-than-everyday beings. It just happens that this time it really is Halloween.
Kate Danley's wit makes me giggle and often stop and share her clever turn of phrase, or reference. I want to know her characters personally. They're that enjoyable.
It's a fun quick read. Just a short story, really, but it's Maggie and Company, so who cares that it's short? Maggie is still fiesty and foul-mouthed and her mother is adorably overbearing as always. I'm not sure where this fits into the series exactly. Certainly not in the later books, maybe before Maggie on the Bounty? Still, it's fun and well-written and well-edited and that's good enough for me.
"The Ghost and Ms. MacKay A Maggie MacKay Holiday Short Story" (Maggie MacKay Magical Tracker) by Kate Danley takes place after "Maggie Get Your Gun". It's Halloween time and Maggie has the delightful treat of teaching Killian about the holiday from a human's perspective, popping over to her sister's house, and then heading back to her mom's for her ghostly party. In other words, Maggie hates every minute of it, and there is nothing she can do to escape the festivities.
Overall, I thought that this was another great addition to the Maggie MacKay universe. It's always a treat to read Maggie, Killian and their friends' perspectives of things. I recommend reading the whole series if you like strong female leads that have no filter with an adventurous and kicking spirit.
